The City of Española is initiating emergency preparedness in conjunction with the Rio Arriba County’s Emergency Management Team and Human & Health Services department. The directives issued from the State of New Mexico Department of Health will be followed. In terms of services offered by the City, staff will be notified upon further measures. For employees who show concerning symptoms will be asked to stay home, supervisors will address staff regarding time and leave. The City will notify the public if absence of staff may affect services. Currently, we are focusing efforts on the Senior Center and public facilities by increasing sanitation requirements. Helpful information from the Center of Disease Control and State of New Mexico Department of Health will be distributed and made available to the public.
