Boys & Girls Club After School Program Begins Aug. 14th

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Fe/Del Norte 2018-2019 After School Program begins Tuesday, Aug. 14. The organization is the oldest provider of after school programs in Northern New Mexico. From August – May of each year, the Boys & Girls Clubs operate the award-winning After School Program at club sites from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Monday – Friday.

The club also provides programming to children on most school holidays and breaks, as well as in-service and parent/teacher conference days.

Research has shown that kids who participate in after school programs have:

  • Higher grades and test scores.
  • Improved attitudes toward school, higher expectations for school achievement, better work habits and higher attendance rates.
  • Lower youth involvement in risky behaviors: drinking, smoking, using drugs, having sex and becoming involved in violence.
  • Significant increase in positive behaviors: social and behavioral adjustment, better relations with peers, more effective conflict resolution strategies and increased parent involvement.

More information about the 2018-2019 After School Program is available at, along with the application form.
