ATTENTION: National Weather Service Fire Weather Watch
The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a fire weather watch for much of northern New Mexico, including the north central mountains and the Espanola Valley.
A fire weather watch is in effect for every afternoon between 3:32p.m Monday and 5:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2 for all areas in the northern part of the state with significantly low snowpack levels.
Strong winds, low humidity and high instability in the weather system is creating optimal fire conditions. Critical fire weather conditions are forcast in particular for Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.

Relative humidity minimums between 7 and 11 percent.
Any fire that develops will likely spread rapidly.
