AG Producers Must Apply for Initiatives Funding by June 19th Deadline
Two Special Initiative Programs Available to New Mexico agricultural producers
ALBUQUERQUE – The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) of New Mexico encourages agricultural producers to get their applications in by the June 19, 2015 deadline to be considered for technical and financial assistance through two of the agency’s special initiatives.
Technical and financial assistance to mitigate a wide range of natural resource concerns related to agricultural activities, through the implementation of various conservation practices, are available through the the following programs:
1) Landscape Restoration [also known as Joint Chiefs’] Initiative;
2) Ogallala Aquifer Initiative. Both of these initiatives have the same sign up deadline of Friday, June 19, 2015. The initiatives are administered through the NRCS Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). To learn more about EQIP, visit the NRCS New Mexico EQIP Page.
