Baila! Baila! Christmas Dance Show At National Hispanic Cultural Center Dec. 1-2

ALBUQUERQUE ― Baila! Baila! Dance Academy's 5th annual holiday show is a whirlwind extravaganza that returns Dec. 1-2 to the stage in the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) Albuquerque Journal Theatre.

Tickets are $22, $27, $32 w/ $2 discount for seniors, children and NHCC members and can be purchased at nhccnm.org/events or by calling the Box Office at 505.724.4758.

Produced and performed by the most recognized professional ethnic dance company in New Mexico, this show will feature Christmas dances from Italy, Vienna, Germany and New York City, along with a special segment dedicated to the musical reenactment of the New Mexican tradition of "Las Posadas". With special guest Mariachi Tapatio from El Paso, Texas; a large, multigenerational cast; and music, song, and dance with traditional Southwestern flair alongside Christmas traditions from around the world, this show will delight audiences of all ages.

Baila! Baila! is a premier dance company that has performed internationally with appearances at Disney World in Orlando; Carnegie Hall in New York City; Hollywood, California; Sydney, Australia; Las Vegas, Nevada; Hawaii; and the Summer Olympics in London in 2012, to name a few. The company received the Grand Champion title at the Starbound National Talent Competition in San Antonio and the World Champion title at the World Championships of dance in Hollywood. The company also has traveled to Guadalajara to study under the dance masters of both the University of Guadalajara and Ballet Mexico Folklorico.
