Scenes From Lavender Festival

ABIQUIU – The annual Lavender Festival drew hundreds of people to Abiquiu’s Purple Lavender Farm to participate in the festivities and maybe pick some lavender.

Elizabeth Inman and her husband, Roger, own and operate the lavender farm, where they have planted thousands of lavender bushes, which they personally imported from France in order to grow the very best lavender for our region.

As reported two years ago in the Valley Daily Post HERE, July is harvest month for lavender and a good time to visit. For more info and to help plan your visit:  www.purpleadobelavenderfarm.com or (505) 685-0082.

See below for other images of the Lavender Festival.

Over the past few years, the lavender bushes have matured. Compare the above photo taken this past weekend to one from two years ago.
