Pets Of The Week

Each week the Valley Daily Post features pets that are ready for adoption.

Take a look at this weeks highlighted pets and then drop by the shelter to see the whole selection.

Doc

Ever heard of Fox & The Hound? Well, we found the Hound now he's looking for his Fox. Doc is a friendly, rambunctious, and curious hound looking for a home that is free of any felines. He's a wonderful dog and does swell when grouped with other dogs but he shouldn't be in a home with cats or small animals. Doc would enjoy mountain hiking, a large yard to roam around in and a family full of fun. That is after his heartworm treatment. Stop by and meet Doc!!

Libby

Libby is a lovely little lap dog waiting for a home full of love for the holidays. She'd love to hang out by a fire or on the couch watching movies all night long for Thanksgiving with her new family.  She's a mature dog that would prefer a quiet home without very young children or rambunctious dog. She would be fine with an older cat through or even a teen cat that does not play to rough. Libby is already spayed and ready to go home.

There is one unwanted animal for every two households in Española. The Española Valley Humane Society performs over 5,000 spay and neuter surgeries each year.  Please help end pet overpopulation by donating at evalleyshelter.org.
