Pets Of The Week

Each week the Valley Daily Post features pets that are ready for adoption.

Take a look at this weeks highlighted pets and then drop by the shelter to see the whole selection.

Elijah

One of our volunteers calls Elijah "the most enjoyable dog to walk!" Quite an endorsement, because she walks a lot of dogs here every week! We agree with her, Elijah is a calm, sweet dog, and he has unfortunately been overlooked by many adopters. Elijah is a neutered male 3yrs old, who came in as a stray. He is heartworm positive so he will need to be treated but we will be with you through his treatment.

Ice Queen

Ice Queen is beautiful, has a gentle demeanor and really enjoys relaxed human company. Ice Queen would love a home that can provide her with a warm place to bed down at night and lots of fun during the day. She is 3yrs old and came in as a stray and with a pup that we think is her baby. She'd make a great family dog that would love to join on any family trips and activities. Please help by giving her a second chance at life.

There is one unwanted animal for every two households in Española. The Española Valley Humane Society performs over 5,000 spay and neuter surgeries each year.  Please help end pet overpopulation by donating at evalleyshelter.org.
