Pets Of The Week

Each week the Valley Daily Post features pets that are ready for adoption.

Take a look at this weeks highlighted pets and then drop by the shelter to see the whole selection.

Percy is a mature cat looking for a quiet home. He'd enjoy peaceful mornings spent on the window sill soaking in the warm sun rays. He's had some dental work done and is currently on a canned food diet but is sure to chomp kibbles in no time. He'd love a home with lots of fuzzy, warm places to sleep and a nice human to share his life with. Percy is 8yrs old so he is all business and no fooling around. Will you be his human

Ron is a hunk! We can't get enough of this giant teddy bear and all the love he gives. He's nothing but tail wags when you approach him and gently licks your hand waiting for you to pet him. He runs around in the dog yards like a goof ball and if you have a friendly female dog he'd really enjoy her company. He will be neutered before he leaves the shelter. So there are no unwanted puppies out there. He is about 3yrs old and ready for a new home.

There is one unwanted animal for every two households in Española. The Española Valley Humane Society performs over 5,000 spay and neuter surgeries each year.  Please help end pet overpopulation by donating at
