Pets Of The Week

Each week the Valley Daily Post features pets that are ready for adoption.

Read on to meet Tea Cake and Goliath, this week's highlighted pets and then drop by the shelter to see the whole selection.

Tea Cake
Who can resist an itty bitty black and white little kitty? We know it's nearly impossible so we dare you to comemeat Tea Cake, we promise you won't leave home alone. Her name is Tea Cake and she is 12wks old who came in as a stray. She would make a loving family member if given a chance.

Goliath
Goliath is a very timid cat that really just wants somebody to give him a chance. He's very shy but will warm up once he gets to know you. He purrs when we pet him and is really gentle when we have to handle him. Goliath would do best in a home without young children or lots of activity. In his idealhome Goliath would live with adults, have lots of hiding places and be kept indoors only to prevent him from running away. If you consider yourself a "cat person" Goliath may just win over your heart.

There is one unwanted animal for every 2 households in Española. The Española Valley Human Society performs over 5,000 spay and neuter surgeries each year.  Please help end pet overpopulation by donating at evalleyshelter.org.
