Pets Of The Week

Each week the Valley Daily Post features pets that are ready for adoption.

Take a look at this weeks highlighted pets and then drop by the shelter to see the whole selection.

Scrappy
Scrappy came to us in a humane trap. It looks like he panicked a bit and in an attempt to escape the trap, banged up his face a bit. He's certainly not feral, and once removed from the trap, he settled in for a little TLC from the shelter staff. Scrappy is sweet and outgoing, and a bit of tough guy, at 4yr old, so would probably do quite well in
an home where he could go indoors and outdoors.

Jazzie
Jazzie is an A+ girl at 4ys old! Gets along well with other dogs, cats and greets every person she meets with a happy tail wag and a kiss. She is ready for Easter and is collection all her Easter eggs around her. She will make a great running or hiking partner. Stop by the shelter today and meet this sweet girl!

There is one unwanted animal for every two households in Española. In 2012 the Española Valley Humane Society performed 4,012 spay/neuters, and this year they will complete 5,000 spay/neuter surgeries.  Please help end pet overpopulation by donating at evalleyshelter.org.
