Victor M. Quezada of El Duende

Victor M. Quezada, 29, a resident of El Duende passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 29, 2017. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Apuleyo and Sixta Quezada and maternal grandfather, Waldo Martinez Sr.; uncles, Waldo Jr. and Victor Martinez and Nathan Lovato.

He loved fishing, camping and being with his family. He loved working with his Dad plastering.

Victor is survived by his daughter, Jaylynn Quezada; mother of his daughter, Kaylene Sherwood; parents, Tomas and Annette Quezada; siblings, Brenda Quezada, Juan and companion Melinda and Tomas Apuleyo Quezada Jr.; grandmother, Beatrice Abeyta; Godmother, Paty Quezada; aunt, Stephanie Martinez; nieces and nephews, Monique, Angelina, Nicholas, Christopher, Jalinna, Apuleyo; close cousins, Tara (David), Nathan II, Andres (Roberta) and family, Waldo Salazar (Sonya) and family and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Public Visitation will be

gin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday September 3, 2017, with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre De Cristo Chapel of the DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday September 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo.

Patrick Gonzales of El Guique

Patrick Gonzales, 36, a resident of El Guique, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Saiz and Ermelinda Trujillo, paternal grandparents, Joe and Rose Rendon; uncles, Lawrence Salazar, Frank Montoya and Oiveo Trujillo; cousins, Gary Trujillo, Leonard Trujillo, Isaac Morfin and DonnaMae Talamante.

Patrick was a proud Veteran who served our country in the US Army National Guard. He loved being outdoors, camping, fishing and enjoying natures beautiful sounds and scenery. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone and everyone in any way he possibly could.

Patrick was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Patrick is survived by his children, Celine Marie, Manuel, Julian and Nathaniel; parents, Paul and Annabelle Gonzales; brothers, Johnpaul Gonzales (Amber), Louis Gonzales (Lucia), Silvy Talamante (Pam), Martin Garcia; sister, Rosemary Gonzales (Aaron) and Jan Talamante (Robert); companion, Echo Gallegos; grandma Rose; nephew, Aision Martinez; Godson, Silvy Talamante Jr.; aunts, Beverly Montoya, Nancy Martinez (Robert), Polita Pacheco (Armando), Corine Romero-Talamante (Salomon), Mary Vigil (Jerry) Dora Trujillo (Jesus), Patty Trujillo (Roger), Frances Gonzales, uncles, Wilbert Salazar (Carmen), Ben Salazar and Richard Gonzales (Vangie) and many other relatives and friends.

A public visitation will be held on Monday, September 4, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving the family as pallbearers, Aaron Martinez, Matthew Vigil, Michael Vigil, Silvy Talamante, Martin Gracia and Ignacio Sanchez, honorary pallbearers, will be his children, Godson Silvy Talamante Jr, Martin Gracia Jr., Jordan Gracia, Officer Manny Romero, Officer Charles Gentry, Mark Gonzales, Rick Martinez, Daniel Sanchez and Cippy Salazar.
