Daniel “Danny” Joseph Maestas of El Guache

Daniel “Danny” Joseph Maestas, 48, a resident of El Guache, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017. Daniel was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Pedro and Maria Ruben Maestas; maternal grandparents, Miguel and Elosia Valdez; brother, Lenny Maestas. Daniel was employed with Black Ridge Construction, and was an avid and proud Dallas Cowboys fan.  He is survived by his daughters, Delayna Delgado, Tiffany Amber and Sherri Maestas all of Espanola, son, Daniel (DJ) Gallegos of Rio Chama; granddaughters, Haley Chavez, Nevenah Manzanares of Espanola, grandson, Aiden Wallace of Espanola; parents, Maclovio and Linda V. Maestas  of El Guache; sisters, Pam (Silviano) Tucker of Dixon, Margaret (Ray) Gallegos of Rio Chama, brothers, Alex (Cathy) Maestas of Rio Chama, Chris (Lola) Maestas of El Guache; nieces, Valerie Mincey, Ashley Padilla, Shana Garcia, Lynette Maestas, Victoria Maestas, Desi Lujan, Rayna and Nicki Gallegos, Shannon and Kayla Martinez, nephews, Anthony Maestas, Thomas Maestas, Nick and Mateo Maestas, C.J., Jeremiah, Joshua Maestas; Baptismal God parents, Leroy and Velma Martinez; and confirmation God father, Ricky Baros and great nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. Services are pending at this time and will be posted as soon as they become available. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Juan Garcia, Chris Maestas, Nick Maestas, C.J. Maestas, Alex Maestas, and Silviano Tucker, honorary pallbearers, D.J. Gallegos, Ray Gallegos, Anthony Maestas, Ronnie Vigil, and Brittney Salazar. The family of Daniel “Danny” Joseph Maestas has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley. 

 


Ricardo Martin Martinez of Española

Ricardo Martin Martinez, 32, a resident of Española, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Victory Faith Church in Espanola, with a burial to follow at Loma Vista Cemetery Alcalde. The family of Ricardo Martin Martinez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.

 

 


Jerry M. Sisneros Sr. of Santa Clara Pueblo

Jerry M. Sisneros Sr., 71, a resident of Santa Clara Pueblo, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Sisneros; mother, Olaria Sisneros; brother, Raymond Sisneros, sister, Patricia Padilla. Jerry served in the Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by his son, Jerry Sisneros Jr., daughter, Marilyn Brown; grandchildren, Jeffery and Jacob Brown and Ada Martinez; sister, Rosemary Lewis (Travis) sister-in-law, Florence Sisneros, ; brother-in-law, Anthony Padilla; nieces, Marie Sisneros, Anna Edmonds (Steven), Veronica Arenas (Gonsalo), Karen Aguino (Steve); nephews, Murphy Sisneros, Charles Sisneros (Jane), Terry Padilla, and Brian Padilla and numerous great-grandchildren and other loving relatives. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a burial to follow at 11:15 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers are Jeffery Brown, Chris Gallegos, Gonsalo Arenas, Charles Sisneros, Matthew Sisneros, and Kenneth Arenas. The family of Jerry M. Sisneros has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
