Mental Health: Separating Fact From Myth

Mental health remains one of the least understood and commonly ignored aspects of healthcare. Yet, over the past few decades, tremendous progress has been made in understanding our mental health and understanding how to treat conditions when our neighbors or family members are suffering from mental health problems.

Yet along with the new and proven treatments, there is a great deal of misinformation that causes confusion and too often improper treatment.

The United Way of Northern New Mexico Behavioral Health(y) Community Initiative is publishing a series of mental health information guides to help separate the facts about mental health disorders from commonly believed fiction. This series is running throughout May.
