WASHINGTON - This past Monday a sixth grade team from James Rodriguez Elementary
school in Española were part of an exclusive group of 100 elementary, middle and high school
students from throughout the nation invited to present their inventions to President Obama at the
annual White House Science Fair.

Governor Appoints Northern Student Regent
 

 

Española:  The Governor’s Office has announced the appointment of Melinda DeHerrera to fill the position of student regent at Northern New Mexico University. DeHerrera is pursuing a bachelor’s in Information Engineering Technology and is a mother of three. She is an Española native and has been a member of the Northern community for the past 18 years.
