Gabriel Huerta Benefit Spaghetti Dinner/Dance & Bake Sale

Friends and family of Gabriel Huerta are holding a benefit spaghetti dinner/dance and bake sale Friday, Jan. 27 to help fund his efforts to attend the "Down Under Games" in Australia this summer. 

As previously reported HERE, Huerta has been invited to an international track and field event in Australia this coming summer. Huerta, a runner for McCurdy received an invitation from the Down Under Sports Tournaments organization which hosts athletes from around the world at international events in Australia. Read on for full details.

Pojoaque Schools Cancelled Friday

All Pojoaque Valley Public Schools will be closed today, Friday Jan 6 due to snow accumulations on rural roads that buses must travel on.  

On Thursday evening school officials had callled a two hour delay but this decision was upgraded to an all day closure at 5 a.m.
Students will get an extra day of winter vacation.

DOE Awards Cooperative Agreement To Nambe Pueblo

The Department of Energy’s Carlsbad Field Office has awarded a $250,000 five-year cooperative agreement to the Nambe Pueblo for the coordination of activities to ensure the safe transportation of transuranic waste to the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP).
